When You’re Not Feeling Like Yourself — We’ve Got You
Your throat’s on fire, your body aches, and even thinking hurts. Or maybe your kid came home coughing and now the whole house is teetering on the edge.
When life grinds to a halt because you’re sick — you don’t need long waits or guesswork.
You need answers. You need relief. You need a provider who actually listens.
That’s what we do here. Same-day and next-day sick visits with compassionate care and a plan that gets you back on your feet.
What is a Sick Visit?
A sick visit is just what it sounds like: a focused appointment to address a sudden illness, injury, or flare-up that isn’t life-threatening — but definitely needs attention.
Unlike an annual physical, which is all about prevention, a sick visit zeroes in on what’s wrong right now.
We’re talking:
Cold or flu symptoms
Sore throat or ear pain
Fevers or chills
Cough, chest congestion, sinus pressure
Stomach bugs, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
Rashes, pink eye, UTIs, headaches
Minor injuries like sprains or minor burns
These visits are quick, specific, and designed to help you feel better fast — without an urgent care bill or emergency room chaos.
What Happens During a Sick Visit?
Once you’re checked in, your provider will sit down with you to go through:
What you’re feeling
When it started
What’s helped or made it worse
Any symptoms you’ve had before
Then, they’ll do a targeted exam — checking vitals, listening to your lungs, looking at your throat or ears, feeling for swelling or tenderness depending on the issue.
If necessary, they may run a rapid strep, flu, or COVID-19 test, or order blood work, urinalysis, or imaging (like an X-ray). You’ll get a diagnosis, a treatment plan, and clear next steps before you walk out the door.
When Should You Schedule a Sick Visit?
If you’re wondering, “Is this worth seeing someone about?” — the answer is usually yes.
Here are a few signs to book a sick visit ASAP:
Fever over 100.4°F lasting more than 2 days
Cough or sore throat that isn’t improving
Shortness of breath or chest discomfort
Dehydration signs — dry mouth, dizziness, dark urine
Pain or swelling that’s getting worse, not better
You just don’t feel right, and it’s getting in the way of work, school, or daily life
You know your body better than anyone. If it feels off — let us take a look.
The Benefits of Same-Day Sick Visits
We know how fast illness can knock you down. That’s why we reserve space daily for urgent, same-day sick visits — no weeks-long waiting lists.
Here’s why our patients love them:
Timely answers when you’re at your worst
Accurate diagnosis instead of guessing or Googling
Targeted treatment that skips the trial-and-error
Care from a provider who knows your history
Relief and reassurance in a single visit
Urgent care can feel rushed. The ER can be overkill. This is healthcare that meets you where you are — fast, focused, and right-sized.
How to Prepare for Your Sick Visit
Even when you feel like death warmed over, a little prep helps:
Be ready to describe your symptoms, timeline, and meds
Bring a list of any new or recent contacts or exposures
Note your temperature, or any home remedies you’ve tried
If it’s your child, bring anything helpful — meds, photos of a rash, etc.
You don’t have to come in perfectly organized — just give us what you’ve got, and we’ll take it from there.
What Happens After the Appointment?
You’ll leave with:
A diagnosis (or a working diagnosis with next steps)
A treatment plan — whether it’s rest, medication, or both
Guidance on what to watch for, and when to follow up
A direct line if you need help or things change
